Raised funds totaling $147,000 will go towards the renovation of an old Laundromat to transform it into the new village library for Elk Mound residents.
The Otto Bremer Foundation granted $130,000, Dunn Energy Cooperative provided a $5,000 grant, and Xcel Energy issued a $2,500 contribution. The village bought the old laundromat for $10,000.

Employers For Childcare Charitable Group (EFCG), a Lisburn-based charity, has been crowned top Social Enterprise at the Ulster Final of 2014’s Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards. EFCG seeks to “make it easier for parents with dependent children to get into work and to stay in work.”
